Suncor Energy Inc., Canada’s largest oil company, said it’s assessing the impact of a fire at one of two oil sands upgraders north of Fort McMurray, Alberta.

The company said it responded to a fire at 12 a.m. and all employees and contractors were safely evacuated. Suncor said it will give details of repairs needed once the assessment is complete.

The fire comes less than two months after another blaze forced the company to halve production at the Upgrader2 unit at its largest oil sands project. The company didn’t say if the same upgrader was involved in Tuesday’s incident.

The December fire reduced output by 120,000 to 150,000 barrels per day during the repair period.
