Romarco Minerals tops TSX Venture's best 50 list
Toronto-based mining company Romarco Minerals Inc. was chosen as the No. 1 emerging company to watch in 2010 by the TSX’s junior exchange.
The TSX’s Venture 50 lists 10 of the strongest performers from five of the exchange’s industry sectors, including clean technology, diversified industries, mining, oil & gas and technology and life sciences.
"Our listing on the TSX Venture Exchange has provided us with the ideal environment to meet our growth goals and objectives,” said Romarco Minerals President and Chief Executive Diane Garrett in a statement released Friday.
The company specializes in gold with production focused mainly in the U.S. and Mexico. Romarco shares were up 2.9% near close on Friday, trading at $1.42.
BioExx Specialty Proteins Ltd. (formerly Bio-Extraction Inc.), AeroMechanical Services Ltd., Southern Pacific Resources Corp. and Sensio Technologies Inc. also scored tops in their respective categories.

Companies were selected based on four equally weighted criteria including, return on investment, trading, analyst coverage and market capitalization growth.
